North Wind Outfitters is a premiere guide service offering first-class hunting, fishing and nature adventures for both novice and seasoned outdoor enthusiasts. Each full-service expedition provides an exceptional opportunity to experience and appreciate Nature’s incredible bounty from the San Francisco Bay to the backwaters of the California Delta and tributaries.

North Wind Outfitters offers three primary services including freelance duck hunts, light tackle/fly fishing for striped/black bass, and scenic tours for photographers, bird watchers and other nature lovers. Other trips include dove hunts and seasonal fishing for sturgeon, salmon and halibut.

North Wind Outfitters is based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, and is insured and bonded. Capt. R.J. Waldron is a licensed California Guide, a Coast Guard licensed Captain and professional photographer with over 20 years of hunting and fishing experience. RJ created North Wind Outfitters as a way for him to share his passion and true sportsmanship for the great outdoors with others. College educated and owner of a construction business in the East Bay, Waldron utilizes his business acumen and customer service focus to ensure that North Wind Outfitter’s customers are guaranteed a full-service and treasured outdoor experience. When he is not chasing ducks, fishing or taking pictures, Waldron drives his wife, Britta, crazy practicing the art of duck calling. Only RJ’s hunting cohorts and his professionally trained Labrador, Riley, seems to truly appreciate his sweet music at home and in the field.

Jason Adversalo was born and raised in the Sacramento area. He did not grow up as a duck hunter but found the passion later in life. Currently, he has hunted 13 active seasons in California’s wetlands. Through his experience, he has become an excellent duck caller and retriever, since his wife, Tara, won’t let him get a dog (little does she know that a baby Lab is on the way). Jason has spent numerous hours touring the Delta in his 17 foot Excel Mud Buddy boat. He is a licensed guide and will soon be a certified Captain. Hunting with other guides has given him an insight into what makes a good quality guide and how clients should be treated. Respect, service, and honesty are the qualities that Jason Adversalo prides himself on giving all of his fellow hunters and customers. His passion for ducks has led him into another aspect of hunting. His personal philosophy includes giving back to the sport. He is an active member of the California Waterfowl Association, with many hours of volunteering at Rancho Escalon calling clinics, Marsh Madness, and many other youth hunting events. Jason’s dream is to pass on his enthusiasm for ducks and the outdoors to his sons, Maximus, and Hunter!
